Envoy to China Discussed the situation of Rok North Korea - South Korea's nuclear negotiator, Thursday (10/12/2011), drives off to China to discuss the situation following the death of North Korea's leader, Kim Jong-Il. Lim Sung-nam, a top Envoy to Seoul bogged down negotiations aimed at ending North Korea's nuclear program, is scheduled to meet with her counterpart from China, Wu Dawei, to discuss the situation on the peninsula of Korea, the Foreign Ministry said South Korea in Seoul in a statement. The visit took place following the sudden death of Kim.

The Ministry said, the two envoys also are expected to discuss joint strategy coordination for the six-party talks resume on a stalled nuclear. The talks were last held in 2008. The talks also involving the United States, Japan, China and Russia, in addition to the two Korea. Kim's death was reported on December 17, taking place amid new efforts to revive the moribund talks. Pyongyang and Washington has recently held two rounds of negotiations with a third round of denuclearization, expected in the near future after their separate talks on food aid.
